Last week was okay, could have been better but thats the life a teacher. It’s a roller coaster of a year every year.
My CT’s strategy for an organized structured classroom specifically for students who speak a different language other than English is to have them work together in a group so they could help each other on classwork. Not only do we assign groups but students already sit together with other students who speak the same language. That goes for the students who speak Spanish, Persian and Pashto. For a safe environment we encourage the students to be who they are and act in a manner that they feel comfortable but also respectable. For accessibility to class material everything is either on our wooden cart or on the back table for students to get up and get whatever they need.
